I’m currently typing up my recap from today. We visited The Smoky Mountain National Park and Cades Cove today, as well as tasted our fair share of moonshine, so be on the lookout for that tomorrow sometime!
I just needed to take a moment to express to the world how important travel is. I said to my mom earlier, “It’s strange to think that people live everywhere.”
Think about that.
In every country you’ve ever heard of…
In every city you’ve never been…
In every mountaintop,
There is life.
How cool is that? How magical is that?!
I know that a lot of the time, when it comes to travel, we often find ourselves making excuses as to why we can’t.
“I don’t have enough money.”
“I don’t have enough time.”
“It’s too much planning.”
I’m going to quote “How To Lose A Guy in Ten Days”, not because it’s an Oscar-worthy film, but because it just popped into my mind and I’m running with it…
You can make money back. You have enough time. It’s not too much planning.
Being in Tennessee these past few days has completely reawakened my love for travel and ignited a new love within me too, and that’s a love of the outdoors. If I’d call myself anything, it would be a city girl. But in the past few days, I’ve been nothing but. We’re staying in a cabin in the mountains in a secluded town, I’ve ridden a horse through mud and creeks, I’ve ziplined and touched the tops of trees with my hands, I ran and jumped in streams today and climbed rocks and danced around in leaves, I ran through the rain and danced down hills. I breathed in the air around me. I felt the wind on my face. And I loved it.
I want to see the world. I want to visit mountains that I’ve never seen. I want to go white water rafting. I want to hike in Colorado and canoe past waterfalls. I want to go on hikes and see wild horses running through fields. I want to watch bears catch fish and see glaciers and go whale watching. I want to do all of these things, and that makes me so happy and excited for life because I can!
The world is bigger than we know, and it’s full of surprises and mysteries waiting to be discovered. Captured. And I want it.
People live everywhere, and I want to see where people live.
I want to see everywhere.
